Vele strafbare feiten worden blootgelegd. .[/i] [b]Met deze week:[/b] [spoiler] Alberto ontdekt gevaarlijke wapensmokkel per post TNT Post vreest voor veiligheid personeel In Undercover in Nederland is zondag te zien hoe eenvoudig verboden wapens per post ons land worden binnengesmokkeld. Alberto Stegeman en zijn team leggen met de verborgen camera vast hoe pistolen, munitie en explosieven in pakketjes langs de douane via de handen van vele postbeambten aan de deur worden afgeleverd. TNT Post maakt zich dan ook zorgen om de veiligheid van haar personeel. Undercover in Nederland is zondag 3 januari om 21.30 uur te zien bij SBS 6. Het team van Undercover in Nederland ontdekt dat criminelen die illegale en gevaarlijke goederen Nederland binnen proberen te smokkelen dit steeds vaker via de post doen. Op bestelling vanuit het buitenland worden wapens en explosieven verstuurd, zonder dat een douanebeambte of postbode doorheeft wat er in het pakketje zit. “Ik loop een postkantoor binnen en kom fluitend buiten met een pakketje waarin een handpistool zit. Niet alleen zwaar illegaal, maar ook ontzettend gevaarlijk voor de medewerkers van de post. Via internet bestelde vuurwerkbommen of vuurwapenpatronen gaan dagelijks door hun handen”, aldus onderzoeksjournalist Alberto Stegeman. Postpakketten die Nederland vanuit de meeste andere Europese landen bereiken, worden door de EU-wetgeving niet meer gecontroleerd. TNT Post maakt zich zorgen over de toenemende smokkel via hun vervoersbedrijf. “We mogen post nooit openmaken en hebben geen idee wat er inzit. Als het bijvoorbeeld om explosieven gaat, kan dat zeer gevaarlijk zijn voor onze medewerkers. Je moet er niet aan denken dat het fout gaat. We dringen samen met andere postbedrijven aan op meer controle”, zegt woordvoerder Suzan Demirhan van TNT Post. Ook VVD-tweedekamerlid Fred Teeven is ontsteld. Hij vindt dat de douane een actievere rol moet spelen in de controle van buitenlandse postpakketten, die er nu bijna niet is. “Door de lage pakkans zetten we ons land wagenwijd open voor dit soort ellende”, aldus Teeven. Het Landelijk Platform Vuurwapens (LPV), een samenwerking tussen de douane, marechaussee en politie, erkent dat criminele handelaren steeds meer gebruik maken van postbedrijven om illegale goederen Nederland binnen te smokkelen. LPV-voorzitter Yme Joustra: “Het is een trend. De controle moet een stuk beter worden en de opsporingstechnieken moeten hierop worden aangepast”.
