South Park is een animatieserie, gecreëerd door Trey Parker en Matt Stone. De serie wordt vanaf 1997 in de Verenigde Staten uitgezonden op Comedy Central.

De serie gaat over de surrealistische avonturen van vier jongens uit South Park, een klein bergdorpje in Colorado. South Park staat bekend om zijn bedoeld simpele animatiestijl, donkere humor en de taboedoorbrekende onderwerpen. De meeste afleveringen zijn een satire op de (Amerikaanse) samenleving, beroemdheden en/of onderwerpen die het nieuws beheersen. De tekenfilm is meer gericht op tieners en volwassenen dan op kinderen: geweld, grof taalgebruik en referenties naar seksueel gedrag worden zelden geschuwd.
