FC Twente is een Nederlandse professionele voetbalvereniging uit Enschede die op 1 juli 1965 werd opgericht.

De traditionele uitrusting van FC Twente bestaat uit een volledig rood tenue. De 'Tukkers' spelen hun thuiswedstrijden in De Grolsch Veste. Tot medio 1998 was Stadion Het Diekman de thuisbasis van de club.

Sinds de oprichting in 1965 speelt de club betaald voetbal. Met uitzondering van de seizoenen 1983/84 & 2018/19 kwam de club constant uit in de Eredivisie.

Op de UEFA ranglijst van de beste voetbalclubs in Europa stond FC Twente voor het seizoen 2011/12 als vierde Nederlandse club op de 49e plaats.

Op de eeuwige ranglijst van de Eredivisie bevond de club zich in 2011 op een vierde plaats en nu nog steeds. FC Twente werd voor het eerst in haar historie landskampioen in het seizoen 2009/10, won 3x de beker (1977, 2001,2011) en 2x de Johan Cruijff schaal (2010,2011) [/spoiler]
